A Harsh Moment

The clouds opened up

as I made the realization

that I’ve mistaken the pain and humiliation

for misguided decisions and sadness

from ego driven interpretations of feelings

but I’m here to say

I’m sorry for the judgement

and hardships that I put upon you

when you were just

doing things I would do

and acting as I would act

because I’m more similar to you

than I want to admit to

the truth is that nothing has changed
